A Leap of Faith

It made me want to make one too so I did. Except it's Bolt and Silver Wing.

~story time~ PLEASE READ
(Bolt's PoV)
The longer we stayed out in the open, the more likely our chances of getting caught. Normally this was only a danger I had to face alone. But things are different this time.
Silver Wing is by my side. A white dragoness with determined attitude. I was hesitant about having her with me at first, but she's proven to me she can handle herself very well. I must admit, she's come to grow on me.
Her clan has given me orders to protect her. If anything happens to her, I'm responsible for it. But I doubt she needs me.

"Why did you want to come anyways? It's none of your concern." I turned around to see her panting. We've been walking for a long while now. "I want to be there to see you get your memory back." She answered. Whenever I set foot on the Island of Earth, I get hit with small flashes of my lost memory. Every now and then I get clear flashbacks when I venture into the mountainous areas of the island.
"Besides it'd be nice if you had a little company." she continued. I couldn't deny that. "How much further?" "Not much.", I said, "Just over this-".

I'm so stupid. We needed to fly across a trench before we could get to the mountains. I had forgotten about her disability. She has no wings. She can't fly across. Maybe...I could carry her over? No. I see Snow Islander knights searching on the other side of the trench. Searching for me. I can't put her in danger like that.

(Silver Wing's PoV)
"Stay here and hide." he said. To stay? Is it because I can't fly?! He can just carry me! What's the big deal? Before I could yell at him, he covered my mouth with his right paw. He knew I would get mad. Looking into my eyes he says whispering, "There are Snow Islander knights over there. They will find me and they will attack. If they saw anyone else with me, they will attack them too without giving it a second thought. Stay here and hide and they won't get you. Got that?" His glassy eyes waited for a response. I stared back and nodded in understanding. He turned away and flew over the trench.

For 10 long nerve-wrecking minutes, I waited for him behind a boulder. At first, the waiting was boring. But as time went by with no signs of him, I started to grow more and more worried. Then I heard a blood-curdling scream coming from the other side of the trench. I emerged from my hiding place and looked over to find Bolt fighting 6 pale white albino night furies. They found him.

He was out numbered. No way he could fight them off on his own. He needed help but I couldn't just leave him. I don't know what came over me, but something told me to jump.

(Bolt's PoV)

I was outnumbered but nothing I couldn't handle. I was just waiting for the right moment. Their cold eyes stared into mine, trying to intimidate me. How cute.
"BOLT!!" a voice called out to me. My first thoughts were that it was Silver Wing. I turned around towards the voice hoping that I'd be proven wrong. Unfortunately, I was right.

Then they all pounced at once. Perfect. I quickly shot a plasma blast with lightning and electrocuted them. They weren't dead, but they were paralyzed. That's good enough. I jerked my head back to Silver Wing. My heart fell. She didn't jump far enough.

I dashed forward and held my left paw out. Slid to the edge of the cliff with my head and arm hanging from the cliff. My eyes were shut. I was afraid to see her falling to her death. But then I felt something warm clenching unto my paw. Hesitantly, I opened my eyes to see her. I caught her.
But quickly, my relief and happiness changed into anger.She didn't listen.

(Silver Wing's PoV)
"WHAT THE HELL DID I TELL YOU!! You almost gave me a heart attack, Silver Wing! Is that what you want?!!" His voice was furious, but his eyes told me he was terrified. I've never seen him like that before. It was my fault. I was almost certain he would kill me for doing something stupid like that.

"Ok whatever I'm sorry! Just don't let me go!"

He clenched his paw tighter and reassured me, "Don't worry. I won't."
